School Creative have been instructed by the Governors of Torriano Infants School in Camden, London to involve pupils in the redesign of their school logo. The programme will involve a series of workshops to explore good brand design and the development of a series of concepts.
ARK Schools and the Evelyn Grace Academy, in Brixton, have instructed School Creative to work with pupils and teachers on the development of a design brief and a series of resulting design concepts to improve signage and display in the school. The first phase of the project has seen the application of an innovative sports hall display and the use of bold typography in key areas within the Academy.
Jack Roche and Tom Doust worked with teachers and pupils from Cherbourg Primary School, in Eastleigh Hampshire, to help facilitate the creative transformation of the school's canteen. Located at the heart of the school and doubling up as the school hall, the small canteen needed to be flexible yet functional. They worked with architects SHH and The School Food Trust to help facilitate the involvement of pupils and teachers in how the space could be best utilised by its users.
Working with the Local Authority, School Creative were instructed to develop and design a brief with the head teacher and a group of pupils which would help shape the educational and architectural brief for this new school in the town of Red Lodge. Through a series of workshops the ‘client team’ helped influence major decisions on the design of the new school, including relocating the library to the heart of the school. They also influenced the name and design of the school’s new identity.
